The 3D printed polycarbonate architect’s lamp is a sustainable reinterpretation of the archetypal Anglepoise, first designed by George Carwardine in 1920s.
It is a timeless functional object reflecting the technology and craftsmanship of current times. It is printed with a robot arm, from locally sourced and recycled water gallons. The fabrication process of additive manufacturing is an ecological one that minimizes waste and allows us to upcycle prints and reuse the material as many times as needed, which paves way for boundless cycles of prototyping.
Due to its fabrication process, it can easily be disassembled and recycled if needed.
